Privacy Policy.

How Cortex Labs collects, uses, and protects information submitted through this website.

Effective date: 24 July 2026. This policy explains what personal data Cortex Labs collects through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.

Who we are

Cortex Labs (“[Legal entity name, UIC/EIK, registered address — to be completed]”) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. For any question about this policy or your data, contact us at hello@cortexlabs.eu.

What information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Contact form submissions. When you use the enquiry form on our Contact page, we collect your name, email address, and the message you send us.
  • Email correspondence. If you email us directly, we collect your email address and the content of your message, along with any information you choose to include.
  • Server logs. Our hosting infrastructure automatically records standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and page requests) for security, troubleshooting, and performance purposes.

We do not use the website to run analytics, advertising, or behavioural-tracking scripts, and we do not knowingly collect any special categories of personal data (e.g. health, biometric, or financial data) through this site.

How we use your information, and why

We use the information above only to:

  • Respond to your enquiry or assessment request, and correspond with you about it — necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, or to perform a contract with you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Operate, secure, and maintain this website, including detecting and preventing abuse — our legitimate interest in running a functioning, secure website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Where you have given it, any specific consent you provide (for example, if you opt in to receive further communication) — GDPR Art. 6(1)(a). You may withdraw consent at any time.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell or rent your personal data to any third party.

How long we keep your information

We keep contact-form submissions and related email correspondence only for as long as needed to handle your enquiry, and for up to 24 months afterwards, unless a business relationship follows (in which case we retain records for as long as that relationship, and any legal or contractual obligations arising from it, require). Server logs are retained for a limited period for security and operational purposes and are then deleted or anonymised in the ordinary course of our hosting provider’s operations.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your data, and we keep the number of parties who can see it to a minimum. Information may be processed by:

  • Our EU-based (Bulgaria) hosting and infrastructure provider, which stores the website and its data on our behalf.
  • Our email delivery service, which sends the automatic acknowledgement to you and the notification of your enquiry to our team at hello@cortexlabs.eu.

All processing takes place within the European Union. We do not transfer personal data collected through this website to any country outside the EU/EEA.

Cookies

This website does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies of any kind. All scripts and stylesheets are served from our own domain — we do not load third-party trackers, ad pixels, or embedded widgets. WordPress, the software this site runs on, only sets a cookie if you interact with a comment form; the site does not currently use comments, and our contact form does not set a cookie for visitors who are not logged in. If this changes in the future, we will update this section accordingly.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erase your data, where there is no overriding reason for us to keep it.
  • Restrict how we process your data.
  • Port your data to another provider, where technically feasible.
  • Object to processing based on our legitimate interests.

If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg), or with the data protection authority in your own EU member state.

Children’s data

This website is directed at business professionals and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example as our website or practices change. We will update the effective date above when we do. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
